The Rye Craft Fair now takes Paypal for all bookings. Stalls are £15 per day. You can pay for just the first upcoming booking, or several, it is up to you. This can be by Paypal, bank transfer, or cheque through the post. Please see below for instructions as to how to pay by Paypal or email me: firstname.lastname@example.org, or call Alice on 01424 812550. All payments will be in advance of the fairs and non-refundable, unless a cancellation is made a month in advance. Of course, if you have already provisionally booked a stall with me, your booking still stands, but you will need to pre-pay for it. You can pay for as many fairs as you wish, or just one fair. I have to make sure that from now on it is always worth my while as an organiser. This way, if people cancel at the last minute I will not be frantically trying to fill the space. We are now taking bookings from stallholders for 2014, but there is no more space for 2013. Call me on 01424 812550, or email me: email@example.com. Tables are already in place with your name on. Tables are 6 ft by 2 ft. See below for all details.

Payment must be through Paypal. £15 per stall.
Email me: firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire about stalls and availability. If you make a booking please make it a commitment. All tables/stalls must be pre-booked and pre-paid. Although you can just pay for the first upcoming one, or you can pay for several. I can provisionally book you for as many dates as you wish and you can pay in advance for each one as they come up, preferably at least two weeks in advance. Please look at the dates and let me know which ones you would like to book.
How to Pay by Paypal.
Payment can be via Paypal and my email associated with my Paypal account is: email@example.com. To send money through Paypal, log in to your Paypal account, click on Send Money, fill in my email address in the ‘To’ box, (firstname.lastname@example.org).. Fill in the amount, £15, check the ‘I’m paying for goods or services’ button.. So simple. And then your booking will be secured. Once you have paid, Paypal automatically sends me an email to let me know you have paid. It also will send you an email for your records. I will mark your booking as paid for. Also this way you automatically have a record of your payment, and you can print this off as a receipt for your records, and if you need a further receipt I can email you one to print off, or give you a paper receipt on the day of the craft fair. If you don’t have Paypal, it is so easy to set up. Go to http://www.paypal.com and follow the instructions. It is so simple. If you prefer, you can send money via internet banking, (I will give you my bank details,) you can even call your bank and instruct them to transfer the money, £15, or you can send a cheque, (I will give you my address.) Only bookings previously paid for will be secure.
Always email me first, before paying and booking, to check which dates are free, unless you have already booked certain dates with me.
The reason for needing payment up front is due to last minute cancellations by stallholders.. The payment is also non-refundable. I have to make it worth my while as an organiser. I do a lot of promoting, signs, networking. It is very difficult to fill spaces at the last minute, and even difficult a week before.
Pre-payment for the fairs should be made at least two weeks, and preferably a month prior to the fairs you would like to book. All the fairs you have paid for will be marked as paid, and I will email you back with confirmation of all the dates you have paid for, for your records.
The Rye Arts and Crafts Fair is for hand-crafted arts and crafts by the stall holder. We occasionally allow crafts made by others if they are of excellent quality, or for a charity or worthy cause, but we prefer hand-crafted, artisan made crafts, and not imported items. Emphasis is on crafts made by you, the stall holder. Thank you for your understanding.
Stalls are in the main hall, on the stage, in the foyer, and even sometimes outside on a lovely day. The tables are already set up for you with your name on, and tables are six ft by 2 ft. Please bring along a table cloth and anything that enables you to showcase your work as attractively as possible.
The Fair starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm. Entry is free and there is a lovely cafe with inexpensive and delicious home-made healthy food. There are all sorts of amazing hand-made arts and crafts by local artists and makers and also some vintage objects and clothes.
Artists/makers can arrive from 9 am am to set up. Please do not arrive any earlier than 9 am as need time to put name labels on the tables. All tables are allocated with your name on. The stalls/tables are in the main hall, also the entrance/foyer, and up on the stage in the main hall.
Please always pre-book via email, and I will see which dates are free.
If you have pre-booked and pre-paid with me, your name will be on your table when you arrive. It is a lovely and friendly fair with music playing quietly. All the tables are already set up for you. Tables are approximately 6ft by 2 ft long.
When making a booking for a particular date, please make it a commitment and mark it in your diary.
There is parking outside for unloading and some space for all day parking but if there is no more room, unload first and you can park in the Grove down the road or in Love Lane by Rye College. Also there is a car park down the road by Rope Walk Arcade which is only £1.50 for all day. After unloading, please don’t just leave your car outside the hall unless it is in a designated parking space. The Rye Community Centre is on Conduit Hill and the post code is TN31 7LE. You can easily find this on Google maps if you type the postcode in. Conduit Hill is a cobbled street leading up to the High Street and it is right in the centre of Rye. I always put signs and posters all over, and signs on approach roads into Rye. As it is a twice monthly event, people know where we are. It is a fun and lively event.
Please ‘like’ us on Facebook for more updates and insights. Link is at bottom right hand side of this page.
Tables are about six foot long and 2 ft wide and are already in place. Do bring anything along that enables you to showcase your work to the best effect. There is power and many outlets for small lamps/fairy lights.
My name is Alice and I am the organiser. My email is: email@example.com or my phone number is 01424 812550, or 07910 718962.
Call me or email me: firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to reserve a table/stall, or I can put you on the reserve list if certain fairs are fully booked. Please email me and put me in your contacts list so that my emails always get to you. When you book a stall on a particular date, please make it a commitment, mark it in you diary, and if you can’t make it please let me know well in advance so that I can allocate your table to someone else as there it is a very popular fair and there is a lot of demand for stalls. Please note, only stalls that are pre-paid will be secure.
Craft Fair Etiquette.
At the fair, please do not pack up your stall until 5pm. This is because other stallholders and I feel this detracts from the overall look and feel of the fair if anyone packs up early. Also there are often lots of tourists and customers who arrive out of the blue late in the day and come in and purchase alot of work and you could be missing out. Craft fairs are usually busy in waves and fluctuations throughout the day.
Above all, please be polite and respectful.
